This is both the first low roof and passenger version of the new Transit that I've seen. I love it. It makes the whole front look like a big stupid wall, which is exactly how I want my vans to look. Don't give me any of that streamlined bullshit.
That's a long van. I will always !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! for the Econoline, but the low-roofed Transit seems a worthy successor. Needs two more cylinders, of course. But looks are important when we're talking about the cultural importance of an iconic van brand.

My dad has an E-150 Work van and you can barely see over the dash, those things are huge. I think you can kinda see the front in the Transits. Which was nice.

Chop the roof of the back add a tailgate and you could have a good small pickup. Call it a transit-amino, or Ranchero.

I think the Transit 'Transit' van comes in three wheelbases and three roof heights.
Low roof (as in your picture).
Mid roof.
High roof.
Though our low roof Transit is probably the Transit Custom in the U.K. and Europe.
Transit Custom SWB
Transit Custom LWB

I'm digging it! You could park that down by the river. It would be the perfect mobil apartment.

If I won the lottery, one of the first things that I would buy would be a high roof, long wheel base Transit, and turn it into a tailgating/beach/camp party machine. Bar, keg fridge, pull out TVs, leather seating, generator, everything.

For your business meetings with your accountant you can use a custom Sprinter van:
And get one of these for the after party:

I'm really happy that the E series is gone to be honest. I love the new European style work trucks.

For most of us, it gets two fewer cylinders! You change your own gears too without any option.
